Making a claim
Making a claim is easy. All you need to do is telephone us on 0844 893 9002. It will help if you have your policy number. We will check your policy is valid, then take the details of your claim and then tell you what to do next.
Remember, if you think you might be prosecuted for a motoring offence, you should contact us as soon as possible. If you want to make a disqualification benefit claim, we must have first accepted a motor prosecution defence claim from you.

How it Works
If you need legal advice about a motoring matter, ring us on 0844 893 9002. We will ask about your situation and provide you with advice. If we are unable to advise you straightaway it will be because we need to research the subject before calling you back.
Motor prosecution defence
It is important that you tell us as soon as possible if you think you might be prosecuted for a motor offence. We will start by providing you with any legal advice you need.
The legal adviser will not be able to tell you whether your claim is covered, but will give you a reference number and pass your details on to our claims department. Our claims department will look at the details of your claim and decide whether it is covered under the terms of your policy. They will write to tell you if your claim has been accepted. If your claim has not been accepted, they will tell you why.
If your claim is accepted, we will pass your information on to a firm of solicitors. These solicitors will contact you about your claim and will act on your behalf to defend you. We will pay for their costs, up to a maximum of £25,000.
If your case is unsuccessful and you are banned from driving, then you can claim for the disqualification benefit. Ring us on 0844 893 9002 and we will tell you if you are covered and ask you to send us any documents we require.
If we accept your claim, we will pay you the amount you have chosen, as specified in your Policy Schedule, for each month you are disqualified. We will arrange the first payment as quickly as possible, and make further payments at the start of each month of your disqualification.
Remember that you can only make one disqualification benefit claim per period of insurance.
